Welcome to Ridgecrest Gardens at Ross Mountain, a Market Garden....
I am Wendy, born in a small town in Northern Minnesota, grew up in the Twin Cities where we raised four outstanding, amazing, wonderful - now adults. 
Drawn to a slower, more meaningful life surrounded by mountains and open sky, with the love and support of family and friends, I made my new home here - growing plants for their fragrance, their beauty, taste, healing properties, and sometimes just for the quiet challenge of trying something new. The market garden felt like the right fit. It gives me purpose.

Along with friends I've met here, Big Mine Farmers Market was created. It came with new challenges, given us all opportunities to learn and grow our own businesses completely enjoying every minute of it! 

Palmer was originally known as Tates Village, an old coal mine town.  It is a beautiful area in the South Cumberland Mountains full of history and deep family roots. 

                  It is an exceptional place to build deep roots.
